Mindfulness: A Jewish Pathway to a Calmer Spirit
Mindfulness enhances a person’s sense of being in the present moment; it helps us avoid anxiety about the future or regret and sadness over the past. In Judaism, a significant component of mindfulness means cultivating a deep and profound trust in God. It means making room in our awareness for a Higher Power and communicating with Him on a regular basis through meditation and prayer.  Additionally, Judaism teaches that each of us is unique.  Mindfulness based consciousness helps us to ascertain our unique mission and to stay true to that mission.
Alexandra will address how we can live our lives in an authentic and genuine way.  Learn the perspectives and tools that will bring you a deeper clarity of who you are, where you should be putting your energies, and what it means to live a life truly on purpose.

Jennifer will guide the group in a meditation and will speak briefly about the ways in which meditation is beneficial to our health.  She will address how one's level of stress can be dramatically decreased due to focused mindfulness and meditation.
CATERED LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED
SPACE IS LIMITED
